Homemade Bread

▪️400g flour
▪️ 7g sugar
▪️ 6g salt
▪️ 2g active dry yeast
▪️ 280 ml lukewarm water

▪️In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, sugar, and active dry yeast.

▪️Create a well in the center and pour in the lukewarm water.

▪️Using a wooden spoon, mix the ingredients until the dough starts to come together. Then, continue mixing with your hands until a sticky dough forms. Don’t worry if the dough is still sticky at this point.

▪️Shape the dough into a ball and place it back into the mixing bowl. Cover the bowl tightly with cling film and let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour and 30 minutes to 2 hours.

▪️After the first rise, transfer the dough onto a floured surface. Gently fold the dough in the middle and turn it a few times to shape it into a round loaf. If the dough is too sticky, you can sprinkle some more flour as needed.

▪️Place the shaped dough on a piece of parchment paper inside a bowl. Cover the bowl with cling film and let the dough rise for an additional 30 minutes to 1 hour.

▪️Meanwhile, preheat your oven to 230 degrees Celsius (450 degrees Fahrenheit) with a Dutch oven inside to heat up as well.

▪️Score a line on the top of the dough and then, carefully transfer the dough into the preheated Dutch oven.

▪️Cover the Dutch oven with its lid and bake the bread for 30 minutes.

▪️After 30 minutes, remove the lid from the Dutch oven and continue baking for an additional 5 to 10 minutes, or until the top of the bread is golden brown.
